I really like this one, it has a psychedelic style to it that I like to visit from time to time. It is a mandala of sorts, with the center being an eye(one of my favorite subjects)

Left Side: This drawing doesn't have a name. It represents death...plain and simple...I once found some sort of comfort in the idea that if I wasn't around anymore I'd be happy somehow...hence the smile on the dead characters face. No more do I feel this way.

Right Side: Goofy looking block guy. This was just a random idea to take a simple shape and make a character out of it...it turned out great! The drawing on the opposite page is bleeding through though, so it got messed up a bit. That's all part of the adventure of a sketch journal though! You never know what you'll get :]

:|: Pages 5 & 6

Left Side: Welcome to the Freak Show! Is just a little cartoon that came to mind one day while drawing yet another skull...I really like the cuteness of the little guy. I never got another idea for the lower half so I just left it blank.

Right Side: At one point in my life, after losing someone dear to me, I found myself feeling this way. My heart felt as if it had been dropped and shattered, slowly mending...Of course I don't feel this way now, but this drawing was made about 2 yrs ago...So it gives you an idea of my attitude at the time.

I've found as I go through this sketch journal that I have felt alot of different ways. I needed to get some deep inner thoughts out and my circumstances said "MAKE ART!" so I did. I've been finding a bit of satisfaction though as I write all this out. I discover even more about myself right along with you!

Left Side: Skull and Star....I LOVE skulls. Your going to find this out... I really like the little star at the bottom because it really bring balance to the image.

Right Side: he is mysterious....he is not a shadow not a light, he is Mr. Grey

This is one of my favorite set of pages, it really establishes the kind of art I was trying to put into the moleskine sketch journal. Just free, open sketches without worry of doing it right or whatever.

Left Side: This is my first drawing in the Moleskine, It's a perfect example of one of my lingering subjects: The single eye....Call me an illuminati conspiracy kook, or a metaphysical wierdo. I don't care :]

Right Side: One of my favorite things to do is get a ruler out and start making lines...I think it's in my search for perfection I attempt to create the impossible...but it's fun at least :]
